I thought this would be a great weekend wrap-up of the Lunch 2.0 we organized at LinkedIn a week ago. Before I continue, I just want to add that working on this project w/ Kay Luo (who runs our marketing/corp. communication team at LinkedIn), was an awesome experience.

We had what was probably one of the most well attended Lunch 2.0 events ever. Here’s a list of press, mainstream media and blogger talk that the event generated (via LinkedIn blog):

Lunch 2.0: free food, a side of tech talk cafetaria crashers now invited guests (San Francisco Chronicle)
LinkedIn says lets do Lunch 2.0 (bub.blicio.us video interviews with Guy Kawasaki and CEO Dan Nye)
Lunch 2.0 at LinkedIn was incredible (Web Strategy Blog with video)
When LinkedIn met Lunch 2.0 (Marketing Nirvana)
Justin meets Audrey Tautou (Justin.tv)
Lunch 2.0 on Chronicle’s front page (David Kellogg)
Plaxo gets LunchedIn (Plaxo Blog)
4 Square is hot in the Silicon Valley (virtualomni blog)
Lunch 2.0 in the SF Chronicle today (Mark Jen)
My first Lunch 2.0 event (just another digirati wannabe blog)
Lunch 2.0 at LinkedIn (Adam Nash)
LunchedIn 2.0 - what a party! (Official Lunch 2.0 blog)
Lunch 2.0 has been chronicled (Joseph Smarr)

Another recent development is that Adam Nash, whom I met at Lunch 2.0, has just joined LinkedIn as Sr. Director, Product. Since my role as Community Evangelist, is a bridge between our internal product/engineering/development teams and the community of users, it’s great that we have another blogger within our teams.

I’m also working on a slew of events, speaking engagements which will continue to give me an opportunity to hear from our vast user base of over 11 million users (as of June 1, 2007). As a LinkedIn user, if you’ve any further ideas or suggestions feel free to send it to me directly at msundar@linkedin.com.

Stay tuned for more such events! I look forward to meeting you at such events in the future.
