As some of you may know, I’ve a great fascination for all things Silicon Valley and the fact that this part of the world has led to some of the greatest technological innovations in history. No two individuals have impacted the past three decades more than Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, and when it’s only the 2nd time in history you see them on the same stage its something you don’t want to miss.
Yesterday, WSJ reporters Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher interviewed the REAL PC and Mac guy.

Here are some memorable quotes from this recent interview:
* Jobs does read the Fake Steve Jobs blog
* Gates: “First, I want to clarify: I’m NOT Fake Steve Jobs”
* Steve quoting former Apple CEO, Gil Amelio: “Apple is like a ship with a hole in the bottom, leaking water, and my job is to get the ship pointed in the right direction”
* Steve Jobs on Apple being one of the largest developers for the Windows platform (via iTunes): “It’s like giving a glass of ice water to someone in Hell“
* Bill Gates: “Steve is SO known for his restraint“
* Steve Jobs: “People who love software, want to do their own hardware“, Bill: “I can resist that“
* Steve Jobs interrupting Bill Gates’ narration of the genesis of Microsoft software in Apple II to say: “Let me tell the story” and goes on to describe history in his characteristic style.
* Bill Gates: $31,000 – Price paid by Apple for Microsoft software used in Apple II

If there’s one thing I’d like you to take away from his blog post reading, it’d the habit of reading the Fake Steve Jobs (FSJ) blog. Because, if you love the industry and want to have a fun start to your day then subscribe to it.
As FSJ would say: NAMASTE!
